DAY 1

Welcome to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are welcomed by your guide and driven to your accommodation. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool.

DAY 2

Tarangire National Park

We depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The park is quintessentially African, studded with baobab and acacia trees and sliced by the Tarangire River. The massive elephant herds here are a highlight, but the park is also home to buffalo, giraffe and big cats.

DAY 3

Lake Manyara National Park

We make our way to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Lake Manyara’s forests host large monkey and baboon populations and the very shy tree-climbing lion. Explore the large hippo pools and the lake shores that are the breeding grounds for thousands of flamingos.

DAY 4

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we make our way into the Ngorongoro Crater- a highlight of every safari! The sheer crater walls give way to a wide expanse of land, home to dense animal populations including thousands of flamingos during breeding time. This is your chance for an encounter with an endangered rhino.

DAY 5

Serengeti National Park / Central

Today we drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti. The Serengeti’s endless grass plains are home to huge herds of wildebeest and zebra. Spend the afternoon watching hunting cheetahs, playful lion cubs and majestic leopards before heading to the lodge for sundowners.

DAY 6

Serengeti National Park / Central

Another day to explore pockets of the Serengeti’s plains. There is the opportunity today to split the day into a morning and afternoon game drive and return to the lodge for a hot lunch.

DAY 7

Serengeti National Park / North

Today we head north towards the Kogatende area of the Serengeti. In the afternoon, game drive around the banks of the Mara River where wildebeest and zebras gather as they move in search of greener pastures.

DAY 8

Serengeti National Park / North

We try again today to catch the elusive river crossings as the migration goes in search of green pastures in the Masai Mara. This area has dense animal populations and is home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, crocodile, giraffes, elephants, impalas and topis. There is the opportunity to return to the lodge for a cooked lunch.

DAY 9

Serengeti National Park / North

Today is the final day to explore the isolated beauty of the northern Serengeti region. Again, there is the opportunity to split the day into a morning and afternoon game drive and enjoy a cooked lunch at the lodge.

Serengeti National Park
