DAY 1

Welcome to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are welcomed by your guide and driven to your accommodation. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool.

DAY 2

Tarangire National Park

We depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The park is quintessentially African, studded with baobab and acacia trees and sliced by the Tarangire River. The massive elephant herds here are a highlight, but the park is also home to buffalo, giraffe and big cats.

DAY 3

Lake Manyara National Park

We make our way to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Lake Manyara’s forests host large monkey and baboon populations and the very shy tree-climbing lion. Explore the large hippo pools and the lake shores that are the breeding grounds for thousands of flamingos.

DAY 4

Ndutu Plains / Southern Serengeti

Today we drive through to the Ndutu Plains in the very south of the Serengeti ecosystem. Over a million migratory animals gather on the grassy plains here for calving season. Thousands of animals are born during this time and take their first steps among the predators that share the plains.

DAY 5

Ndutu Plains / Southern Serengeti

Today we explore the Ndutu plains. We highly recommend splitting the day into a morning and afternoon game drive and returning to camp for lunch.

DAY 6

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a final early morning game drive, we make our way back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There is an opportunity to take a guided hike through the dramatic Ngorongoro Highlands close to the Crater rim.

DAY 7

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we make our way into the Ngorongoro Crater- a highlight of every safari! The sheer crater walls give way to a wide expanse of land, home to dense animal populations including thousands of flamingos during breeding time. This is your chance for an encounter with an endangered rhino.

DAY 8

Lake Eyasi - Hadzabe Tribe

We join the Hadzabe tribe to get a taste of what life is like for one of the last nomadic hunting tribes left in Tanzania- an authentic and unforgettable cultural experience. We also spend time with the Datoga tribe who are famous for their metal working skills. After this, we return to Arusha.
